The Catholic Church of the Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Polish: Kościół Niepokalanego Poczęcia Najświętszej Marii Panny ) in the Warsaw district of Bielany is a Catholic Camaldolese church on ul. Dewajtis in the Las Bielański forest north of downtown .
history
The Camaldolese Church and Monastery were built between 1669 and 1710 in the Baroque style for the Krakow Camaldolese . The heart of King Michael I and Stanisław Staszic were buried in the church. After the partition of Poland , the Camaldolese had to leave the monastery. The monastery building is used by the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw .
Geographical location
The church is located in the Bielany district north of downtown Warsaw in the Las Bielański forest .
