Kamassiner

The Turkic Kamassins (Kangalassen) are a small Turkic-Tatar population group in southern Siberia .

The Kamassins today probably see themselves as part of the Khakass . Your residential area is northeast of Khakassia , whose administrative eastern border is the Yenisei , in a Russian-speaking area. The ancestors of the Kamassins still spoke a Samoyed language in the 18th century .

In 1969 about 200 Kamassins were counted.
