Kamenar ( Bulgarian Каменар ) is a village in northeast Bulgaria , in the municipality of Varna , Varna Oblast . Until 1934 the village was called Goljama Franga , named after the Franga plateau that extends west of the Varna community center .
Kamenar is connected to Varna by bus routes 23 and 24. The place has given its name to Kamenar Point , a headland on the Davis coast of Graham Land in Antarctica , since 2016 .
