The Kamenev Bight ( Russian Залив Сергея Каменева Saliw Sergeja Kamenewa ) is a shallow and 40 km wide bay off the Princess Astrid coast of the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . The Cape Krassinski , a Schelfeiskap , marks the western end of the bay and is located 100 km northwest of Schirmacher Oasis .

Aerial photographs taken during the Third Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956–1960) between 1958 and 1959 were used to map them. Scientists on a Soviet Antarctic expedition carried out another mapping in 1961 and named the bay. Namesake is Sergei Kamenew (1881-1936), commander in chief of the Red Army during the Russian Civil War and later chairman of the Soviet Arctic Committee. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names converted the Russian name into English in 1970.
