Kamil Vacek (born May 18, 1987 in Ústí nad Orlicí , Czechoslovakia (now the Czech Republic )) is a Czech football player . Since 2016 he has been under contract with the Israeli first division club Maccabi Haifa .
Club career
Vacek played in his homeland for Sokol Dolní Dobrouč and FC Rychnov nad Kněžnou before joining SK Sigma Olmütz in 1999 . There the midfielder developed into a U-19 international and even became the captain of the Czech junior team. In 2005 he played for Olomouc in the Gambrinus League , the top division in the Czech Republic.
Vacek moved to Arminia Bielefeld on loan to the 1st Bundesliga at the beginning of the second half of the 2006 season . There he came on the last game day in the last minutes of a Bundesliga assignment. The following year, the Czech did not make the leap into the professional team and was instead only used in the Westphalian league team.
For the 2007/08 season Kamil Vacek moved to Sparta Prague . With Sparta he was both Czech champion, Czech cup winner and Czech Supercup winner.
In August 2011 it was announced that Vacek was moving to Serie A at AC Chievo Verona and signed a four-year contract there.
For the 2013/14 season Vacek is returning to his old employer Sparta Prague after 2 years, he was allowed to leave Italy until 2015 despite the contract. With Sparta he was Czech champion and Czech cup winner . In the following season he was rarely used and was loaned to the league rivals FK Mladá Boleslav for the second half of the 2014/15 season. Where he played 13 league games. For the 2015/16 season Kamil Vacek was loaned to Poland where he now played for Piast Gliwice . For Piast he played 33 league games and scored 5 goals and had a significant share in reaching 2nd place. For the 2016/2017 season he moved to Israel to Maccabi Haifa .
National team
On June 4, 2011, Kamil Vacek made his debut in the Czech national football team as part of the Kirin Cup against Peru (0-0). So far he has played 8 international matches.
