Kanal 31 ( Kazakh 31 арна , Russian 31 канал ) is a private television station in Kazakhstan , based in the former capital Almaty . It broadcasts in Kazakh and Russian 24 hours a day.
history
The station was founded in 1992 and began broadcasting on April 12, 1993.
Since March 2008, the Russian media company STS Media has owned around 20 percent of the shares in Kanal 31. Since then, the program has consisted of 60 percent series and shows from STS Media and 40 percent in-house productions and other foreign productions.

Kanal 31's broadcast program consists of news , sports and talk shows . The program also includes feature films , TV series and children's series. The foreign series that Kanal 31 airs include Aaron Stone and Phineas and Ferb .
