Kanazoé Frères , formerly OK - Entreprise Oumarou Kanazoé is the largest construction company in the West African state of Burkina Faso .

Company development and activities

OK was founded in 1973 by entrepreneur Oumarou Kanazoé as a construction company. Kanazoé was the sole owner and was managing director of the company until his death. Several of his sons have run the company since the founder's death. In 2012 the company was renamed Kanazoé Frères.

A large part of the Burkinabe infrastructure - namely bridges, roads and reservoirs - was built entirely or at least partially by OK. OK has also been active in other West African countries since the 1980s, and the company has also been increasingly active in the real estate sector since the 1990s. In 2003 OK won the tender for the repair of the road network as part of the World Bank's Urban Environment Project .

In 2004, OK made headlines in the local press for several months due to differences in wage payments and severance payments with hundreds of workers. The dispute was settled out of court at the end of 2004 thanks to mediation by the Mouvement burkinabé des droits de l'homme et des peuples (MBDHP).
