The Kangphu Kang (also Kangphu Kang I or Shimokangri ) is a mountain in the eastern Himalayas on the border between Bhutan and Tibet .
The Kangphu Kang has a height of 7204 m . The mountain is located in a politically controversial area 195 km east-northeast of Kangchenjunga .
On September 29, 2002, a South Korean expedition (Nam Yong Mo, Li Ji Ryue, Li Fua Fun, Kim Ze Yong and Chuen Oir) made the first ascent of Kangphu Kang. The ascent route led over the north wall to the southwest ridge and on to the summit.
