Kanuma is a town in the West African state of Gambia .
According to a calculation for 2013, around 1332 inhabitants live there, the result of the last published census from 1993 was 900.
geography
Kanuma, in the North Bank Region in Lower Niumi District , lies on the north bank of the Gambia River . The place is about five kilometers northeast of Barra , on the road to Amdalai on the Senegalese border.
The headquarters of the Niumi National Park is located near Kanuma .
