Cape Daly is an icy headland on the Mawson Coast of the East Antarctic Mac Robertson Land . The cape is 3 miles west of Safety Island and southeast of the Robinson Group .
Participants of the British Australian and New Zealand Antarctic Research Expedition led by the Australian polar explorer Douglas Mawson discovered it in February 1931. Mawson named the cape after the Australian politician John Joseph Daly (1891-1942), from 1929 member of the Australian Senate and in 1931 Australian Secretary of Defense .
