Cape Dawydow ( Russian Мыс Давыдова Mys Dawydowa ) is an ice cap on the East Antarctic George V coast . It is on the east side of the Mawson Peninsula .
Aerial photos were taken during the US operation Highjump (1946–1947) and in 1956 during a Soviet Antarctic expedition . Scientists on the latter research trip named the cape after the Russian Arctic explorer Boris Dawydow (1883–1925).
