Cape Douglas (in Argentina Punta Águila ) is a cape on the north coast of South Georgia . On the north side of the Barff Peninsula , west of Lucas Point , it marks the northeast boundary of the entrance to Cubbyhole Cove .
Scientists of the British Discovery Investigations mapped it between 1926 and 1930. It is probably named after Henry Percy Douglas (1876-1939), hydrographer in the Royal Navy from 1924 to 1932, member of the Discovery Committee from 1928 to 1939 and chairman of the advisory board for the British Graham Land Expedition (1934-1937).
