Cape Gage is the rocky eastern cape of the West Antarctic James Ross Island . It is on the west side of the northern entrance to Admiralty Street .
It was discovered during the Antarctic expedition (1839–1843) of the British polar explorer James Clark Ross . This named the cape after Vice Admiral William Hall Gage (1777–1864), Lord Commissioner of the British Admiralty .
