Cape Lamas (in Argentina Cabo Lamas ) is a headland on the southwestern foothills of the Seymour Island off the north east coast of the Antarctic Peninsula .
Pablo F. Beláustegui, captain of the ship Chiriguano , made the naming during an Argentine Antarctic expedition carried out from 1953 to 1954. It is named after José Daniel Lamas, an ensign at sea in the Argentine Navy , who died in the Strait of Magellan when the minesweeper Fournier sank on October 4, 1949 .
