The Cape Musselman is a cape on the Black Coast of Palmer Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . It represents the southern boundary of the entrance to the Palmer Inlet .
Scientists from the East Base of the United States Antarctic Service Expedition (1939-1941) discovered it in 1940 during explorations on land and by air. The cape is named after Lytton C. Musselman (1913-1968), dog sled driver on the East Base , who was involved in a trip over the Dyer Plateau to Mount Jackson .
