Cape Pollock is a cape off the East Antarctic George V coast . It is located on the northern foothills of Dixson Island on the western flank of the mouth of the Ninnis Glacier .
Participants of the Australasian Antarctic Expedition (1911-1914) under the direction of the Australian polar explorer Douglas Mawson discovered the cape. Mawson named it after the Australian physicist James Arthur Pollock (1865–1922) from the University of Sydney , a member of the advisory board on his research trip .
