The Cape Robinson is a chapter on the Foyn coast of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located at the eastern end of the Cole Peninsula between Cabinet Inlet and Mill Inlet .
The Australian polar explorer Hubert Wilkins wanted to have mistakenly sighted an island during his flight over this stretch of coast on December 20, 1928, which he named after the Australian businessman and diplomat William Sidney Robinson (1876–1963). Since the location of the supposed island could not be confirmed in later investigations, the name was transferred to this cape, which was mapped by the work of the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS) and with the help of aerial photographs taken by Ronne Antarctic Research in 1947 Expedition (1947–1948) had been made.
