The Cape Walker is the icy southeast cape of Thurston Island off the coast of the West Antarctic Ellsworthlands . The cape protrudes into Seraph Bay .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 2003 after Edward Keith Walker Sr. (1904–1988), captain of the tanker USS Canisteo during Operation Highjump (1946–1947) of the United States Navy .
