Carl Koch (politician, 1826)

Carl Koch (born September 16, 1826 in Lausitz (Bad Liebenwerda) , † September 11, 1862 in Trebnitz ) was a German lawyer and politician .

Life

Born the son of a house owner, Koch studied philosophy and law in Wroclaw . During his studies he became a member of the Raczek fraternity in 1844 . During his legal clerkship , he was, among other things, the main defender in the Breslau May Trial for Julius Stein . He became a public prosecutor in Trebnitz. In 1862 he became a member of the Prussian House of Representatives . Because of the stress that this entailed, he committed suicide by hanging in 1862 .
