The Cape Wilson is a large, snowy Cape at the Shackleton Coast in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . At the southeast end of the Nash Range , it marks the northern limit of Shackleton Inlet .
It was discovered in December 1902 as part of the Discovery Expedition (1901-1904) by the three-man southern group led by the British polar explorer Robert Falcon Scott . Scott named it after Edward Adrian Wilson (1982-1912), another participant of the southern group, who died on the way back from the geographic South Pole together with Scott and three companions in the course of the Terra Nova Expedition (1910-1913).
