Cape Town as the location of the series

The series is about the doctor Mattes Jakobi, who wants to build a hospital in Cape Town . In order to get money for the construction, he takes a job as a personal doctor on Jan Richter's yacht. Since Mattes Jakobi does not like this work and his employer and prefers to be socially committed, he treats poor patients on the side. So he gets to know the youngster Jeremy, who accompanies him on his further journey. In his double occupation as a doctor, the financial and cultural differences between Jan Richter and his girlfriend on the one hand and the financially weaker patients on the other hand are of considerable importance.
