Graciela Naranjo (born December 25, 1916 in Maiquetía , † April 11, 2011 ) was a Venezuelan singer and actress .

Naranjo was the first woman to be successful as a bolero singer in Venezuela; she became famous as "La Señora Bolero". At the age of fifteen, during the pioneering days of broadcasting in Venezuela, she made her debut at the Caracas radio station. She worked with the Cuban Orquesta Anacaona , performed under the direction of Billo Frómeta , Luis Alfonzo Larrain , Chicho Sanoja , Eduardo Serrano , Jesús Pallás , Rafael Minaya and Evencio Castellanos , with instrumentalists such as Aldemaro Romero , Lorenzo Rubalcaba and Akilio Díaz and fellow singers Celia Cruz , Bobby Capó , Pedro Vargas and Carlos Gardel .

She worked as an actress - alongside Amador Bendayán and Alfredo Sadel - in several movies ( Romance Aragueño , 1939, Misión Atómica , 1947, A la Habana me voy , 1949) and had her own program on television: Contraste Musical . In 1961 she ended her career as a singer and actress for personal reasons. Producers Federico Pacanis and Roberto Obeso and their son Alberto convinced her to return to the recording studios in 1995.
