Maiquetía is a coastal city in Venezuela . It is located on the Caribbean coast in the state of Vargas . Here, about 30 km north of the capital Caracas , is the Caracas Airport (Spanish Aeropuerto Internacional de Maiquetia Simón Bolívar ). The cities of Maiquetía and La Guaira have grown together to form an agglomeration.
