IC 2041 is a lens-shaped dwarf galaxy of the Hubble type SB0 in the constellation Eridanus in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 50 million light-years from the Milky Way and about 20,000 light-years across . Together with nine other galaxies, it forms the NGC 1532 group ( LGG 111 ).
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 1531 , NGC 1532 , IC 2040 .
The object was discovered by Lewis Swift on September 29, 1897 .
