IC 2058 is a spiral galaxy with extensive star formation regions of the Hubble type Scd in the constellation Dorado in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 54 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 50,000 light years in diameter.
The galaxies NGC 1546 , NGC 1549 , NGC 1553 , IC 2060 are located in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered by DeLisle Stewart on December 8, 1899 .
