IC 2070 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBc in the constellation Swordfish in the southern sky . It is an estimated 306 million light years from the Milky Way and about 130,000 light years across.
The type Ib / c supernova SN 2009if was observed here.
The property was discovered by DeLisle Stewart in 1899 .
