IC 2083 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type SB0 in the constellation Dorado in the southern sky . It is an estimated 568 million light years away from the Milky Way and is approximately 190,000 light years in diameter.

The object was discovered by DeLisle Stewart on December 7, 1899 .
