IC 2098 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sc in the constellation Eridanus south of the celestial equator . It is estimated to be 122 million light years from the Milky Way and about 80,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 1681 , IC 2097 , IC 2099 , IC 2102 .
The object was discovered by Isaac Roberts on February 17, 1903 .
