IC 2102 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBcd in the constellation Eridanus in the southern sky . It is an estimated 158 million light years from the Milky Way and about 60,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies IC 2095 , IC 2097 , IC 2098 , IC 2099 .
The type II supernova SN 1997aa was observed here.
The object was discovered by Isaac Roberts on February 17, 1903 .
