IC 2101 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBc in the constellation Eridanus in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 198 million light years from the Milky Way and about 100,000 light years across. 
The galaxies NGC 1666 , NGC 1667 , NGC 1681 , IC 2098 are located in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered by Isaac Roberts on February 17, 1903 .
