IC 2097 is an irregular galaxy of Hubble type Irr in the constellation Eridanus south of the celestial equator . It is an estimated 217 million light years from the Milky Way and about 80,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies IC 2095 , IC 2098 , IC 2099 , IC 2102 .
The object was discovered by Isaac Roberts on February 17, 1903 .
