IC 2080 is a lenticular dwarf galaxy of the Hubble type S0 in the constellation Eridanus south of the celestial equator . It is estimated to be 181 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 25,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies NGC 1594 , NGC 1600 , NGC 1603 , NGC 1604 , among others .
The object was discovered on January 31, 1900 by Herbert Alonzo Howe .
