IC 2063 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sab in the constellation Eridanus at the southern sky . It is estimated to be 495 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 85,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies NGC 1561 , NGC 1563 , NGC 1564 , IC 2064 , among others .
The object was discovered on January 14, 1898 by Herbert Alonzo Howe .
