IC 2060 is an elliptical galaxy of the Hubble type E / S0 in the constellation Reticulum in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 289 million light years from the Milky Way and about 130,000 light years in diameter.
The galaxies NGC 1546 , NGC 1553 , IC 2058 are located in the same area of the sky .
The Type Ia supernovae SN 1997ej and SN 2014dn were observed here.
The object was discovered by DeLisle Stewart on December 8, 1899 .
