IC 2073 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBc in the constellation Swordfish in the southern sky . It is an estimated 170 million light-years away from the Milky Way and about 70,000 light-years across.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies IC 2071 , IC 2079 , IC 2081 , IC 2082 .
The object was discovered by DeLisle Stewart on December 7, 1899 .
