IC 2081 is an elliptical galaxy of the Hubble type E / SB0 in the constellation Dorado in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 561 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 135,000 ly.

The object was discovered by DeLisle Stewart on December 7, 1899 .
