Nico Mantl (born February 6, 2000 in Munich ) is a German soccer goalkeeper . He is under contract with SpVgg Unterhaching and is a young German national player.

Career

Born in Munich, he began playing soccer at FC Deisenhofen from the Oberhaching district of the same name and moved to neighboring SpVgg Unterhaching at the age of 11 . There he was in the professional squad for the first time after his training in the third division season 2017/18 and came to his first assignment in the men's area when he lost 2-1 away to FC Carl Zeiss on May 5, 2018, the 37th matchday Jena was in the starting line-up. In the season 2019/20 Mantl went after the change of the original parent Keepers Lukas Königshofer first goalkeeper.

National team

In October 2019 Mantl was nominated as the second goalkeeper behind Christian Früchtl by national coach Manuel Baum for the German U20 and thus for the first time for a junior team of the DFB . In the 1-0 win against Switzerland , the second test game opponent, he was in the starting line-up.
