Jim-Patrick Müller (born August 4, 1989 in Munich ) is a German soccer player who is under contract with the third division club SpVgg Unterhaching .

Career

Jim-Patrick Müller is the son of Bernd Müller and the grandson of the Nuremberg master player Heini Müller . He grew up in Middle Franconia and followed in the footsteps of his father in his youth: He played for TSV Roth , SC 04 Schwabach and SpVgg Greuther Fürth . In Fürth he played for a year in the U-19s in the A-Jugend-Bundesliga Süd / Südwest. After that he was a member of the U-23 for three years, but although he made a total of 97 appearances as a regular in the Fürth Regionalligareserve and scored nine goals in his last season alone, he didn't get a chance in the Franconian second division team.

Therefore, the versatile offensive player, who can play as a center or winger as well as in the offensive midfield, moved to SSV Jahn Regensburg free of charge after his contract expired . In the 2011/12 season he was on the starting line-up from the first matchday and scored two goals in the first five games. At the end of the league season, Müller was the only player who had been on the field every minute. Ironically on the last day of the match, he saw the fifth yellow card and since the club had reached third place , he was suspended in the first relegation game against the third-bottom of the 2nd Bundesliga , Karlsruher SC . In the second leg he was back on the field, this time he was sent off in the hectic final phase in stoppage time. Nevertheless, the 2-2 final result was enough for Jahn to move up to the second division.

For the 2014/15 season , Müller was signed by the second division club SV Sandhausen . Under coach Alois Schwartz , the winger was not used in the professional squad and only played for the second team in the association league . Thereupon Müller moved again in January 2015 and signed a contract with third division club Dynamo Dresden that was valid until June 30, 2016 . After he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga with Dresden, he switched to regional division SpVgg Unterhaching in summer 2016 . With Unterhaching, he was promoted to the 3rd division again in 2017 .

Private

After dropping out of business administration studies, Müller has been studying political science at the Open University in Hagen since 2013 .
