Dominik Stahl (born August 20, 1988 in Hardheim ) is a German football player .

Career

Youth and beginnings in professional football

Stahl began playing football at SV Osterburken , later he played in the 2002/03 season at TSV Tauberbischofsheim and in the 2003/04 season at TSG 1899 Hoffenheim . In summer 2004 he moved to TSV 1860 Munich . There he played in the youth teams for three years before moving up to the U23 squad in the Regionalliga Süd in 2007 . In 2007 he won the DFB junior club cup with the A youth .

Stahl made his first appearance for the second representation of the Munich Lions on February 24, 2007 in a game for the second team of Karlsruher SC . In summer 2009 he was appointed captain of the U23.

After he had been on the pitch for the full length of the first 13 regional league games of the 2009/10 season, he was appointed to the professional squad for the first time on November 8, 2009 for the second division game of TSV 1860 in Cottbus . There he made his debut in professional football when he was part of the starting line-up of the sixties . In March 2010 he extended his contract with TSV 1860, which was running out at the end of the season, for another two years.

Established at TSV 1860 Munich

In the 2010/11 season, Stahl established himself in the defensive midfield, displacing the Champions League experienced Florin Lovin . On October 30th, he scored his first professional goal at the game in Karlsruhe , followed by two more goals over the course of the season. It was used a total of 22 times during the season, plus three games for the U23s in October.

In September 2011, he extended his contract with the Munich Lions again for two years until 2014. He was used 16 times up to the winter break, after which he played 13 of 15 games in the 2nd Bundesliga. In the following season he was used 26 times, mostly in defensive midfield as a clearer in front of the defense.

In the first half of the 2013/14 season , the midfielder was able to score the decisive goal in four consecutive games.

Stahl's contract with the Munich Lions expired on June 30, 2016 and was not extended.

SpVgg Unterhaching

For the 2016/17 season , the regional league team SpVgg Unterhaching Stahl signed. When he played against VfR Garching , the midfielder scored his first goal for the Munich suburban club. At the end of the season, Stahl and the team made it to the 3rd division . For the 2018/19 season, Stahl was appointed deputy captain of SpVgg Unterhaching.
