Markus Schwabl (born August 26, 1990 in Tegernsee ) is a German soccer player . He is the son of the former national player Manfred Schwabl .
Career
Schwabl, who can also be used as a right full-back in midfield, began his career at TuS Holzkirchen and from 2001 played in the youth team at SpVgg Unterhaching . As a youth he came in the 2008/09 season to his first appearances for the second team in the fourth-rate Regionalliga Süd .
For the 2009/10 season he moved up to the first team. He made his professional debut on August 22, 2009 (5th match day) in the third division match against VfL Osnabrück . In the 1-0 home win, he came on in the 82nd minute for Christian Hain . On March 5, 2011 (27th matchday) in a 2-0 win in the home game against Werder Bremen II , Markus Schwabl scored his first professional goal with the 1-0 goal in the 25th minute.
For the 2013/14 season Schwabl moved to TSV 1860 Munich . Schwabl made his debut for the first team of the “sixties” on March 23, 2014 in the 0-1 defeat in the home game against 1. FC Kaiserslautern . In his debut game Schwabl went through all ups and downs: in the 37th minute he struck a shot fired by Simon Zoller for his already defeated goalkeeper Gábor Király off the goal line and kept his team from falling behind (the one in the 55th minute to decisive 0: 1 should follow) and in the 70th minute he saw the yellow card for a tactical foul in midfield.
Schwabl returned to SpVgg Unterhaching during the 2014/15 season .
For the 2015/16 season Schwabl moved to third division VfR Aalen , with whom he signed a two-year contract. With the Swabians he became team captain and established himself as a regular player, initially in defensive midfield, before he was transferred to the position of right-back in the second half of the season. In this position he was also part of the regular cast in the following season 2016/17 . During the winter break, Schwabl initially traveled to the Aalener training camp in January 2017, but broke it off prematurely. Instead, he moved to the English third division club Fleetwood Town .
For the 2018/19 season he returned to the Unterhaching game association in the third division.
