societies

Bandowski began his career with the clubs SC Blau-Gelb Korbach and TSV Korbach . In 2009 SC Paderborn 07 got him . Because of his achievements, some professional clubs expressed interest in Bandowski, and so he moved to the Borussia Dortmund youth academy in 2011 . There he played with the A youth team in the U-19 Bundesliga and finished fifth in the 2011/12 season. The following season he took part with his team in the NextGen Series , a European club competition for U-19 teams. In a group with Rosenborg Trondheim , Inter Milan and Liverpool FC , they finished last with five points from six games and were eliminated.

At the turn of the year he was included in the expanded squad of the second team to gain match practice and experience. On January 26, 2013 Bandowski made his professional debut in a 2-2 draw against Wacker Burghausen , where he came on for Marcel Halstenberg in the 57th minute . Until mid-April he was mainly used in the A-youth so that he could prepare for his upcoming high school diploma exams. For the 2013/14 season, Bandowski moved up to the professional squad. In the winter preparation for the second half of the season, he tore the syndesmosis ligament and the outer ligament in the ankle and was out for the rest of the season.

At the end of January 2015 it was awarded to the second division club TSV 1860 Munich . Already in his first appearance for the Munich Lions on February 15, 2015, Bandowski scored a goal in the away game against SV Darmstadt 98 in which he put his team 1-0 in the 26th minute of the game. He suffered a fatigue break against MSV Duisburg and was out for a long time.

His contract with Borussia Dortmund ran until June 30, 2017. On August 31, 2016, his move to VfL Bochum was announced, where he signed a three-year contract.

On August 5, 2017, after more than a year injury break, he scored his first goal on his first appearance for VfL Bochum against MSV Duisburg . After only two minutes on the field, he scored a 1-1 equalizer in the Ruhr derby against MSV Duisburg. From May 2018 to April 2019, the defensive player failed again due to an injury and only returned to the pitch on matchday 31 of the 2018/19 second division season. His contract, which expired at the end of the season, was not renewed in the spring and the defensive player signed a contract with third division club SpVgg Unterhaching that was valid until June 2021 .

National team

On September 6, 2013 Bandowski played for a DFB selection team for the first time . In the 2-0 victory against Poland in Pfullendorf as part of an "international game round" (with Italy, Poland and Switzerland) he was substituted on for Patrick Schorr , another U20 debutant, in the second half.
