Christian Früchtl (born January 28, 2000 in Bischofsmais ) is a German football goalkeeper . He has been under contract with FC Bayern Munich since 2014 and has been awarded to 1. FC Nürnberg for the 2020/21 season. In addition, he has been playing for the DFB youth national teams since 2015 .

Youth at Bayern

Früchtl began as a youth player at the football club in his Lower Bavarian hometown of Bischofsmais , SV Bischofsmais. In 2011, after a nationwide screening and on the recommendation of the Bavarian Football Association (BFV), he switched to SpVgg Grün-Weiß Deggendorf , a BFV youth training center that is also a DFB base. In 2012 he already played for the regional team, in 2014 he was promoted to the BFV sponsorship team.

In 2014, Früchtl received a contract with FC Bayern Munich that ran until June 30, 2018 and initially played for the C1 juniors (U15) in the C junior regional league south . From 2015 to 2017 he passed through the B2 juniors (U16), B1 juniors (U17) and A juniors (U19). In the 2016/17 season he was with the U17 German B-Junior Champion . However, Früchtl missed the season finale because of a tear in the syndesmosis ligament in April 2017 , whereupon he had to undergo an operation.

First professional experience

After making his first appearance for the U19s in the UEFA Youth League in December 2015 as a 15-year-old , he was shortly afterwards taken on by the professional coach, Pep Guardiola , to the professional team's winter training camp from 6. Taken to Doha ( Qatar ) until January 12, 2016 . There he trained together with the professionals at the side of the goalkeeper Manuel Neuer . In order to be able to participate in the training camp, a special permit from his school was required. This makes Früchtl the youngest player to have participated in a training camp for the FC Bayern Munich professional team.

He has been part of the professional squad at FC Bayern Munich since the 2017/18 season . His first national use in the professional team in the final of the Telekom Cup on July 15, 2017. His first international assignment in the first team he spent four days later at a tournament as part of the International Champions Cup in China when he was in Shanghai in Match against Arsenal FC in the second half was substituted on. 1. FC Nuremberg
