Oliver Sorg (born May 29, 1990 in Engen ) is a German soccer player who is under contract with 1. FC Nürnberg .
Career
societies
Sorg had started his career in the youth teams of VfR Engen and FC Singen 04 before he switched to the football school of SC Freiburg for the 2006/07 season. In the 2007/08 season he was the U19 German A youth championship , and a year later he won the DFB youth club cup with the youth team . For the 2009/10 season he rose under coach Marcus Sorg - with whom he is not related - to the second team of SC Freiburg and became a regular and later captain.
In January 2012, Sorg completed the winter preparation with the professionals. He made a good impression. On January 21, 2012 (18th matchday), he made his full-time professional debut in a 1-0 win against FC Augsburg . Two days later, Sorg signed his first professional contract with SC Freiburg. Sorg scored his first goal in the Bundesliga in the 3: 3 against 1899 Hoffenheim to make it 1: 1 in the 13th minute.
After the relegation of SC Freiburg, Sorg moved to Hannover 96 in the 2015/16 season and relegated with the team at the end of the season, but was able to celebrate the direct promotion with her in the following season . After two more seasons in the first class, the defender did not extend his contract, which expired in June 2019, after Lower Saxony was relegated again.
For the 2019/20 second division season , Sorg signed a three-year contract with relegated 1. FC Nürnberg .
A national team
On May 8, 2014 Oliver Sorg was appointed to the squad of Germany's senior national team for the first time for the friendly match against Poland in the Volksparkstadion in Hamburg . In this game, Sorg completed his first and so far only A international match.
