Nikola Dovedan (born July 6, 1994 in Tulln an der Donau ) is an Austrian football player . The midfielder has been under contract with the German second division club 1. FC Nürnberg since 2019 .

Nikola Dovedan was born in 1994 in the small town of Tulln on the Danube in Lower Austria and started playing club football at FC Tulln there in 2001. At the age of 12 he joined the youth team of FK Austria Wien , around 30 kilometers from his hometown. By the Academy of FAK he joined in 2010 as a 16-year-old to Salzburg in the local academy . There he became champion of the third-class Regionalliga West in the 2010/11 and 2012/13 seasons, since 2012 as a member of the Salzburg farm team FC Liefering . After the championship in 2013 he managed to move up to the second-rate first division after two relegation games against LASK .

After the 2013/14 season, which he finished in third place with the Lieferingern, he moved to the league competitor LASK at the beginning of the 2014/15 season.

For the 2016/17 season he switched to the Bundesliga club SCR Altach on loan . There he played 32 of the 36 league games and scored ten goals, five of them in the four games against his former club Austria Wien. With the Vorarlbergers he finished fourth at the end of the season, the club thus achieved participation in the qualifying games for the Europa League .

In May 2017, SCR Altach acquired the transfer rights to Dovedan by option and provided him with a contract until June 30, 2019. Just a few weeks later, at the beginning of the 2017/18 season , Dovedan was transferred to the German second division club 1. FC Heidenheim , with whom he received a contract valid until June 30, 2021. In his first year Dovedan came on 29 league appearances, in which he scored six goals. In December 2018, the contract was prematurely extended until June 2023.

For the 2019/20 season, he moved to league competitor 1. FC Nürnberg , with whom he received a contract that ran until June 2022.
