Private

In May 2018, Misidjan was sentenced to six months 'imprisonment, two of which were conditional, and two years' probation. In January of the same year, he attacked a 68-year-old in Roosendaal, the Netherlands . Virgil Misidjan and his lawyers, who advocated self-defense, announced that they would appeal the verdict. In November 2019, a court in The Hague imposed a sentence of 240 hours of community service and 58 days probation.
