IC 2031 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sab in the constellation Eridanus south of the celestial equator . It is estimated to be 213 million light years from the Milky Way and about 30,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered by Edward Barnard at the end of the 19th century.
