IC 2036 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SB (s) bc in the constellation Horologium in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 273 million light years from the Milky Way and about 85,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered by Lewis Swift on November 19, 1897 .
