IC 2029 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBc in the constellation Dorado in the southern sky . It is an estimated 442 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 120,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies NGC 1506 , IC 2021 , IC 2025 , IC 2028 .
The object was discovered by DeLisle Stewart on December 7, 1899 .
