IC 2018 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBbc in the constellation Dorado in the southern sky . It is an estimated 447 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 100,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 1500 , NGC 1506 , IC 2021 , IC 2023 .
The object was discovered by DeLisle Stewart on December 7, 1899 .
