NGC 1474 = IC 2002 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBa in the constellation Taurus on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 233 million light years from the Milky Way and about 75,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered on October 5, 1864 by Albert Marth (NGC 1474) and on December 21, 1903 by Stephane Javelle (IC 2002).
